Rapid Expansion of Antiretroviral Therapy Programs for HIV-Infected Persons in Selected Countries in Africa and the Carribean Under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief

Purpose of this program:
(1) To rapidly expand antiretroviral therapy (ART) to low income HIV-infected persons in a manner that is consistent with national plans and policies in the 14 targeted countries under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR); and (2) To develop sustainable indigenous capacity to continue these programs after the project ends.
